It all started with my granddaughter’s birthday!

We were putting on a birthday party for my oldest granddaughter Maria at a local public park next to a lake. I was working on setting up and getting ready for some games that the children were to play. I realized that I needed some supplies that I didn’t bring and so I needed to run to the local farm and hardware supply store. My granddaughter was always by my side at that age and insisted that she would go with me. So we headed out to the store, and when we arrived we saw that there was a small group of locals selling their stuff in the parking lot. As we were scoping out the crafts that people had my granddaughter met another little girl her age that was selling a small baby goat. Needless to say I couldn’t say no when she looked up at me and said “PLEEEEESE”. After all it was her birthday! You should have seen the look on her Grandmother’s face when we showed back up at the birthday party with this baby goat.

Let’s just say it didn’t take long for her to fall in love with it as well. And so as the story goes we learned about and became addicted to goats!
